Integrative model of media-active post-traumatic growth
Main Article Content
Abstract
Relevance. The article is devoted to the theoretical consideration of the issue of post-traumatic growth of personality and the development of a new model of post-traumatic growth in the modern media world. The peculiarity of the war in Ukraine is that in addition to conventional weapons, information weapons are used. Such a hybrid war encourages people to develop media competence, which includes media literacy and media activity. In the modern world, media activity is an integral part of life, and it can both contribute to personal development and have negative consequences. In Ukraine, this study is of extreme importance due to the large-scale traumatic events experienced by both military and civilians. The study of post-traumatic growth helps to develop effective psychological rehabilitation programs, support people's adaptation to new living conditions, and identify resources that contribute to the healing, restoration, and development of a person after trauma.
The purpose of the article: to present an integrative model of media-active post-traumatic personal growth, which is based on the application of media creativity.
Methodology. Theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the issue of post-traumatic personality growth, comparison of existing models of post-traumatic growth, modeling of a new modern model of post-traumatic growth, generalization of the results of the analysis.
Results. Existing models of post-traumatic personality growth are considered: the functional-descriptive model of Tedeschi-Calhoun (R. Tedeschi, L. Calhoun), the psychological-philosophical model of Papadopoulos (R. Papadopoulos), the biopsychosocial model of Christopher (M. Christopher), the personality-centered model of Joseph (S. Joseph). The dependence of the life and activity of modern man on the media, the need to develop media competence, media literacy and media activity. An integrative model of media-active post-traumatic personality growth (T. Filkina) is described, which is the result of the integration of information and digital technologies and psychotherapy.
Practical significance of the results. The modern integrative model of media-active post-traumatic growth is the basis of a psychological program, using media creativity, for post-traumatic growth.
The further perspective of the research consists in empirical verification of the model of media-active post-traumatic personal growth and identification of the practical role of media creativity for post-traumatic personal growth.
