The current tasks of social psychology at the present day stage of its development are being tackled in the publication. Psychological conditions for consolidation of the Ukrainian society, role of ethnic-cultural, geopolitical, civic and other factors in the process are being studied. Phenomena concerning political, civic and citizenship participation of an individual are being analyzed; patterns of motivation emergence and decision-making, characteristics of interaction and trustful relations in these processes are being identified. Continuum of political and psychological research presented in the publication also covers political world outlook and the most common political practices. Findings of the research of psychological patterns of political and mass information communication, motivational and value transformations of individual consciousness in the modern media environment, and periodicity of Ukraine’s political and psychological development are presented. Theoretical and practical aspects of forming political representations and assessments of subjects of the national political environment are being described. Considerable attention is paid to political and psychological issues of combatting poverty in the society and deformations of law awareness as a result of the individual economic resource deficit.
